Eligibility
A Principal Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
The Principal Applicant must satisfy the basic qualifying investment under one of the four investment options.
The Principal Applicant, his or her spouse, and all other dependents included in the St. Lucia dual citizenship
application who are over the age of 16 must pass due diligence background checks.
Show that the funds that are to be invested are from a legal source
Dependents include any one or all of the following:
- Spouse
- Children below 18 years of age
- Children of either the Principal Applicant or his/her Spouse between the ages of 21 – 30 years, who are financially dependent on the applicant
- The Principal Applicant’s siblings under the age of 18 years and unmarried
- The main applicant’s or his/her spouse’s grandparents and parents, aged over 55 years and are financially dependent on thePrincipal Applicant
- A child or parent of either the Principal Applicant or his/her spouse who is of any age and is physically or mentally challenged as well as being fully supported by the Principal Applicant
Ineligibility
Application with misrepresentation of any information
Mentally incapacitated as determined by a court of law or health practitioner
Faced conviction for any criminal offence except a minor traffic offence
Has been declared bankrupt by a court of law
Person who had faced visa denial from any of the countries to which St. Lucia offers visa-free travel and he/she has not subsequently acquired visa to the same Country.

Due Diligence
During this stage, the CIU will perform due diligence procedures on your application. We ensure that any queries arising from this process are promptly and efficiently addressed. The CIU will then provide one of three decisions: Approved in Principle, Delayed for Cause, or Denied.

Passport Issuance
After the approval in principle of your application, you will be required to pay the outstanding government processing fees along with the investment or donation amount. Once these requirements are met, your passport application will be submitted to the CIU. Upon successful completion, the CIU will issue the Certificate of Registration and passport to you.
